This course will introduce the principles and techniques of acupressure, a therapeutic modality of Oriental medicine. This course will introduce the Oriental massage technique of Shiatsu. This course will cover point palpation, basic manipulations, supplementary manipulations, routine techniques on different areas of the body, and common acupoints for common symptoms. This course will include both manual “hands-on” therapy and the use of mechanical devices used to maintain health.
